Simply the perfect place for a peaceful secluded, getaway in historic Evandale, Tasmania. Sit and watch the sun go down while the magpies sing, the hares lope about and the hoses and cows graze in the paddocks below you. Wander through our extensive grounds and delight in the colours and perfumes of the changing seasons.

Briar Lane is home to heritage architecture, manicured country gardens and an artists’ studio gallery. We offer all the comforts of home in our carefully appointed homestead and suites, making Briar Lane the ideal base from which to explore Northern Tasmania.

We can accommodate couples, families or large groups with the ability for groups of up to fourteen people to book the entire property - the perfect option for tour groups, large family holidays or special celebrations. All our spaces are self contained and generous complimentary continental breakfast provisions are included to begin your stay.

Briar Lane House

Built in 1826 by George Collins, this heritage listed home was one of the founding homes in Evandale. It features four bedrooms, large living/dining area, separate kitchen and two bathrooms. Briar Lane House will sleep 7 people.

Suites 1 and 2

Originally constructed in 1970 as a family home, this charming cottage has since been converted into 2 separate accommodation spaces. Each suite is fully equipped, self contained and private.

Suite 1 will sleep 3 guests, and Suite 2 will sleep 4.

Suite 1 (entry through the foyer and to the left), is a ground floor space and the best option for guests with mobility issues.

Suite 2 (entry through the foyer and to the right), has an attic bedroom and please note that the staircase is steep and the bathroom is downstairs.
